Commissioner Juan Carlos “JC” Bermudez proudly represents District 12 on the Miami-Dade Board of County Commissioners, where he was elected on August 23, 2022. District 12 includes the cities of Doral, Hialeah Gardens, Medley, Sweetwater, a portion of Hialeah, and a large area of unincorporated western Miami-Dade County — communities he has dedicated his life to serving.
Before serving on the County Commission, JC was the founding mayor of the City of Doral, guiding the city through its first nine and a half years and helping build it into one of the most successful municipalities in Florida. Under his leadership, Doral earned numerous state and national recognitions for excellence in governance, financial stability, and quality of life.
JC and his wife Vivian, a dedicated special education teacher for nearly 30 years, have lived in Doral for 24 years. Together they have raised their three daughters — Eneida Marie, Elena Catherine, and Elisa Nicole — with the same values of service, faith, and hard work that guide his public leadership.
